In research, the BTMS system employs many types of coolants, including molten salt mixtures, water-glycol combinations, and phase change materials. The efficiency of the EV battery stack mostly depends on the operating temperature. The commonly utilized coolants are water-glycol mixtures or synthetic oils. The elevated viscosity, high vapor pressure, suboptimal thermal characteristics, and restricted operating temperature range of current coolants hinder electric vehicles' performance in diverse weather conditions. Consequently, in light of the aforementioned coolant difficulties, organic nanofluids may be suggested as alternatives to the now utilized coolants.
